Christian was born in 1977 in Vienna. His father is the celebrated landscape artist Gerhard Nesvadba.  His father was his first teacher.  At a young age in recognition of his talent, he was transferred from a regular school to one specializing in drawing and engineering. These studies soon proved to be too rigid and technical for an emerging artist who was finding his own voice.  Christian decided to pursue more artistic endeavors, a career in painting.   

Christian loves flowers, his compositions depict unique explosions of color and form.  The limits of botany are not his. 

In 1997 Christian won the prestigious Salzburger Kulturfonds Prize at the age of twenty.  After showing in Salzburg, Linz and Vienna he had his U.S. debut at the 2000 New York Art Expo.
