Elkins
 

Toni M. Elkins is a signature member of 16 watercolor societies including National Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA Honor Society, Watercolor West and Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Society.  In 2002, she earned The President's Medallion in San Diego Watercolor.  Elkins also earned Nautilus Fellowship in The Society of Experimental Artists.    

Elkins won the highest award given by The Governor of South Carolina for contribution to the arts in South Carolina, The Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award.  She was selected as one of 16 women in SC to represent "Believe in A Girl" Campaign by The Girl Scouts of The Congaree Area.  

"My most recent work is a combination of emotions from September 11, and the influence of Joan Miro.  I feel that it is our duty as artists to preserve our history.  Of course realizing that our paintings come from our heart and we must be allowed those limitations." – Toni Elkins
